50/100/200/400/800 and 1500 grit Polishing Discs. Hook and Loop attachment to grinder. Pay attention when first attaching because if they are off center too much the grinder can become unbalanced.

Slurry was applied three times to fill all voids. Largely due to lack of vibration as the instructions suggest twice should do the trick.

The light brown pieces on the left were added to the surface of the mold prior to casting. This turned out to be a bad idea as they were a little too thick in some locations and then flaked off after the piece was removed from the form. With some filling I was able to fix the problem spots quite well. Good practice.

You can see the light brown fill on the left side. There was a void here due to poor vibration and it was filled with Slurry.

All ordered from Interstar in Montreal. Cheng is largely credited for being the first to start the concrete countertops. The Pro-mix formula is added to standard 35MPa mix using 3/8" agg. It is available in many colors and contains water reducing powders. The Sealer is a proprietary one developed for concrete countertops. They do not list the contents so I cannot say if is the same as other commercially available ones. The polish and wax are used as the final steps to protect the concrete surface. The decorative aggregates available are not worth the effort. Far too small of containers to be useful. I am going to break up some granite tiles for the next top and see how that works.
